Hon. Twum together with the Minister of Works and Housing, the MCE for Yilo Krobo, Regional and Constituency Executive of the NPP commissioned a borehole at Plau, Somanya.
Hon. Eric Tetteh, MCE for Yilo Krobo welcomed all guests present at the ceremony. In his welcome remarks, he highlighted the availability of potable water as a major concern in the municipality. He, therefore, expressed his profound gratitude to Hon. Twum for supporting the municipality with boreholes. He added that Hon. Twum has been of great support to the municipality through his various social interventions.
He also appealed to the Minister of Works and Housing to support the Yilo Krobo Senior High School to complete the construction of a boys’ dormitory and a box room for girls. He pleaded with Hon.Minister to support the construction of drainage systems in the municipality.
Hon. Asenso-Boakye, the Minister for Works and Housing in his brief speech commended Hon.Twum for embarking on a such great initiative. He pledged to support the municipality with the construction of a borehole and also entreated the MCE to write officially to his ministry concerning the construction of drainages in the municipality.
Further, Hon Twum briefly stated that the main aim is to develop Yilo Krobo hence party affiliation must be put aside to achieve this.
He mentioned some social interventions implemented by him and they include; supporting women with loans to invest in their businesses, renewal of NHIS cards for individuals in the municipality, assisting farmers with subsidized agro chemicals, construction of boreholes, etc. He concluded by entreating the people of Yilo Krobo to be united.
