The Assembly members of Yilo Krobo Municipal  on Wednesday, 29th September 2021, overwhelmingly endorsed Hon. Eric Tetteh, the President’s nominee for the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) position.

She secured 64 votes, representing 100% out of 64 total votes cast in an exercise supervised by officials of the Electoral Commission (EC). The exercise was in line with Article 243 (1) of the 1992 Constitution and Section 20(1) of the Local Governance Act 2016, (Act 936) which stipulates that all MMDCEs should be appointed by the President and approved by not less than two-thirds majority of assembly members. In a brief address, Hon. Eric Tetteh  thanked the President and Assembly Members for reaffirming their trust in himself to oversee the growth and welfare of Yilo Krobo Municipality. He also reiterated his commitment to the development of Yilo Krobo Municipality and indicated that he is always open to constructive suggestions and contributions to the area’s well-being.
