67TH INDEPENDENCE DAY PARADE
Krobo Girls Presbyterian SHS represented the Krobo Land area during the 67th Independence Day Parade held at the Youth Resource Centre, Koforidua under the theme “Our Democracy, Our Pride”. The ceremony, first of its kind in the region, brought together some selected Basic and Second Cycle Institutions, Ghanaians, members of the Diplomatic Corps, rulers from the 11 paramountcies of the Eastern Region and Ghanaians from the diaspora to commemorate the historic journey of freedom and self-determination.
ECG SERVES YILO KROBO DISTRICT HOSPITAL A DISCONNECTION NOTICE
The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) on Thursday, the 22nd of February 2024 had served the Yilo Krobo District Hospital with a disconnection notice,and failure to comply by the hospital, the ECG may have to disconnect power supply to the hospital.According to the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of ECG, Tema Region, Madam Sakyiwa Mensah who spoke to Rite FM 90.1,a local Radio station in the Yilo Krobo Municipality,the Yilo Krobo District Hospital owes ECG bills amounting to One Million Three

In compliance with section 6 (1) of the Local Governance Act 2016, Act 936 and article 246 (1) of the Ghana’s Constitution, 1992, District level elections were held across the country on Tuesday, the 9th of December 2023 under the supervision of the Electoral Commission and Yilo Krobo was no exception.Both the Assembly and Unit Committee elections held in the forty four (44) electoral areas of the Yilo Krobo Municipal were incidence free but poorly patronized as the turnout of

The team of officers in collaboration with Ghana Health Service (GHS), NCCE, DOVVSU, and Department of Labour engaged pupils, students. During the meetings students were able to re assess the issues that predominate among them. The team of officers from the Department of Social Welfare & Community Development (DSWCD) collaborated with the Ghana Health Service to commemorate Breast Cancer Awareness at the International Central Gospel Church, Somanya.The department in collaboration with Action Aid Ghana sensitized the community members and PWDs at New Somanya on Sexual Gender Based Violence and the mandate of the Department of Social Welfare and Community Development.Other topics discussed were proper child care, people living with disability and positive parentingDuring our community
STAKEHOLDERS MEETING HELD AT THE UNIVERSITY OF ENVIRONMENT AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT AND THE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH OF GHANA AT TROM AND NKURAKAN RESPECTIVELY.
A meeting between YKMA, land sector agencies (Land Use and Spatial Planning Authority, Licensed Surveyors Association of Ghana, Office of the Administrator of Stool Lands and the Survey and Mapping Division of land commission), land owners,chiefs and community leaders on the preparation of base maps and local plan for Trom and Nkurakan in the Yilo Krobo Municipal Assembly. This was the first stage agreed to begin the entire process to prepare the maps and plans to help in the successful
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AND PUBLIC SENSITIZATION ON LOCAL PLANS AT KLO AGOGO AND OTERKPORLU.
This engagement was necessary to educate and sensitize the populace of Klo Agogo and Oterkporlu about the need to develop according to the local plans to ensure orderly development. This engagement was to also educate them on development control and measures to prevent haphazard development in the process ensuringconvenient accessibility, safety, aesthetics and harmony within their community.
